Louisiana School Board Spotlight: St. Tammany Parish School Board preventing racist ideology from being taught in schools

St. Tammany Parish board members introduced a resolution that will prevent racist and Marxist principles from being taught in schools. The committee that introduced the resolution approved it, and the school board will vote on it on Thursday, November 10th

The document emphasizes that curriculum shall include instruction in American history, including slavery and civil rights-related issues, but goes on to say, 'Pertinent instruction regarding history of racism and inequality in America should not purport to deliberately undermine race groups, student/family values, religious beliefs, or founding principles.' It also stresses that the School Board approves curriculum choices," the news release stated.
