Pennsylvania School District Vows to Defy Pro-American, Pro-Parent Legislation from Legislature

Pittsburgh School District passed a resolution that states that the district will “reject” specific bills if they are passed. These bills include preventing racist, Marxist ideology in schools and securing parents’ rights to determine what should be taught to their children regarding sexual curriculum.

The school board's resolution also covers House bill 2813 as well as Senate bills 1278 and 1277. According to KDKA, CBS News Pittsburgh, Senate bill 1277 "would require schools to allow parents to opt-out of curriculum containing sexually explicit content." Senate bill 1278 and House bill 2813 would "prohibit classroom instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation up to fifth grade."
